Catching Up

Sorry it's been a while since the last update - things have been a bit busy around here lately!

Despite the lack of sleep and the challenge of raising two little dudes with 3 years between them (two is more than twice as hard as one!) it's been really nice to be off work for a while. I feel 'body' tired but my mind is feeling refreshed and less 'doom and gloom' despite everything around us still going to shit.

Sometimes I still question whether it was wise to bring new life into a world that seems constantly on the brink of extinction, but after spending a few years with my first boy, I'm starting to think that the kids are gonna be alright. At the very least, my kid will be able to read, so that's a start in the right direction.

Other than not sleeping, I've been having a ton of fun with Resident Evil: Requiem! I'm nearing the final stretch but my initial review is that it's an absolutely stellar video game and an excellent entry in the series, easily as great as the recent string of excellent Resident Evil games.

And hey, that second season of Netflix's adaptation of One Piece is pretty good too! My wife, who knew absolutely nothing about One Piece going into it, has been enjoying it immensely and is now curious to start watching the anime...God help us ;_;

School has been keeping me busy as well. This is my final semester before I graduate with my Associates, so it was important to me not to delay it. I have one in-person cooking class that begins next week and one psychology class and then it's on to bigger things. I recently wrote a midterm paper for my psychology course that I'm very proud of, and might be willing to share after some review and revisions.

I'll try to check in sooner next time, and I'm still chipping away at some of the next projects for this website. Before then I'll be back with some more baby pictures :D
