The entire family had a rare day off all together, so we spent our MLK Jr. Day at Salmon Creek State Beach in Bodega Bay!
Historically, Theo has never been fond of the beach, but this time he had a blast.
It was a cool day but not too cold, so the sand was just right for playing in.
Theo is a wild man who canot be tamed, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
We went just before sunset during low tide, so we got to see lots and lots of mussles, barnacles, and those really squishy dudes that look kinda weird.
Found a JUMBO starfish in a little tide pool.
Poor Theo fell into a deep tide pool and got all wet! He handled it like a champ, but we had to strip him down and put him in Mom's sweater for a little bit...
...but that didn't stop the little dude from exploring the rocks and pools.
He's old enough now to recognize when he's having his picture taken and now likes to ham it up XD

The sun hanging low.
There were a ton of cool driftwood forts all along the beach.
It's rare that I can get Theo to wear a hat, but I think he was starting to get cold.
A boy and his shovel.

My two greatest treasures.
Until next time!
